i was excited to hear from photographer amy hoff this week. inspired by your before & afters, she and her husband decided to give their daughter's room a real face-lift. they found a photo of a headboard they loved online, but didn't love the $3,000 price tag. so after picking up a king-sized headboard on craigslist for $40, amy's husband cut it down to fit their daughter's full-sized bed and then cut a piece of wood to mimic the lines of the headboard they loved online. after some painting, a new bedding set from jcpenny ($150) and a little elbow grease they had a brand new room that looks worlds beyond the original. my hat is off to any parents that put that much time into their children's rooms. i always appreciated my parents letting me decorate my room when i was younger and it's great to see amy and her husband creating such a unique space for their daughter.
