猫王国的入口
我一直在寻找猫王国的入口，
在那个天上飘满了鹅绒的天气里，
你家的窗口，
背景里也一如既往零星点缀着轻狂的光斑，
猫猫草们向我点着头，
频率柔和得像沐浴在阳光里，
然而此刻已是黄昏，
再不赶快的话，
再不赶快的话会错过穿越的契机，
再不赶快的话猫儿们都要离我而去了。

说实话这些面具做出来之后效果好得连我自己都觉得欣喜，
虽然画的时候很辛苦但是对于创作这件事我知道马虎不得。
初中毕业之后就再也没有那么奋力做一件事的感觉了，
也许画画正是我积极生活的引线吧。
愈合
之前一年最轟動的舉動是去了一趟北海道染了金色的頭發以及...前面頭兩項顛倒了不好意思，跟一度失和的朋友復合。我記得在house裡住著的某個凌晨4點在被噩夢驚醒之後一遍抹著眼淚一遍寫道歉信卻始終寄不出手的踟躕有多麼不愉悅，幸好這一切都過去了。
感謝她寬容了我的過失，這對我真的很重要。
不过，我想通了，与其再缅怀过往不如吝啬当下。

| all cleaned up for the new year Just when you thought I was all sinked out! Here are a few of my favorite bathroom sinks. The incredibly talented Anna Spiro from Black and Spiro as well as the gorgeous blog Absolutely Beautiful Things was kind enough to give us a tour of her home. I fell in love with her bathroom sink. It has a bit of an industrial rustic feel to it, but it looks so elegant against the white tiled wall. I love the mismatched mirrors!  I always find it interesting to turn an old furniture piece into a sink base. A simple vessel sink looks so lovely on top of this painted piece.  image by Christopher Drake A stunning Swedish painted cabinet in a muted bathroom.  image from Swedish Interiors This long console makes a great sink with extra space for towels and a pitcher.  image by Christopher Drake My Gustavian cabinet looks so divine as a sink cabinet in my bathroom, although Stefan from Lief was horrified when I told him what I was going to do! Oh well.  I thought this was such an interesting piece. Pedestal sinks work well in small spaces, like this little bathroom designed by Gil Schafer.  I love my pedestal sinks in my little bathroom.  I think this simple clean sink looks fantastic with the Venetian mirror. Love the open shelves for fluffy towel storage. | french country living Happy New Year! I have been spending my relaxing vacation with my family at our home in Channel Islands. When I haven't been taking boat trips, going to movies or cooking I have been catching up on reading the stack of design books that are piling up around my home. One of the best discoveries in the stack is French Country Living by Caroline Clifton-Mogg. The book is broken into chapters that look at the different design elements that make up French Country inspired design. These chapters include "Furniture", "Materials", "Color", "Fabrics", "Spaces", and "Accessories" among others.  All of the images by Christopher Drake are beautiful and confirm why I love French Country homes. Because most of the images are of the more muted interiors common in Northern French Country homes, they appeal to my sense of design. Here are a few of my favorites: Ms. Clifton-Mogg provides us with some gorgeous images of French Country bedrooms. Although none of them are exactly the same, they all have a similar feeling of airy lightness.  French Country beds and bedding tend to be clean and simple, like this bed covered in a white matlesse quilt...  or these beds covered with simple linens.   The chapter on "Fabrics" is filled with gorgeous images of the restrained use of color that is so appealing in Northern French Country interiors.  According to Ms. Clifton-Mogg, there has been very little change in the colors used in French Country fabrics, so a 19th century quilt (made from a petticoat when the fashion changed) looks lovely paired with newer pillows.  The "Furniture" chapter is filled with splendid examples of French armoires and cabinets that are used to store table linens....  pitchers and platters...  books in the library....  glasses and dishes behind chicken wire in the kitchen....  and clothing in the bedroom. When these cabinets are painted, they are usually a soothing shade of blue or green.  I could go on and on about this book, but I am off to go ice skating (Leila has been begging!). One last image from the "Materials" chapter. I love the creamy colored limestones used in French Country homes as well as the aged brick and terra cota.
